This latest volume of the Wings and Wheels publications is
the Zundapp KS 750 motorbike and sidecar. It has 60 pages full
of colour photographs the details are outstanding. All the motorbikes
are in private ownership.
As with all books in this series it starts with a brief history
of the vehicle and as an added bonus it has a list of serial
numbers related to the dates produced. This is a very handy tool
for any restorer lucky enough to own one.
The chapters are all colour coded, walk around. Jaroslav Voliks
middle production KS 750, front fork, fuel tank, engine and gearbox,
seats, rear wheels, tow hook, rear axle, side car frame, and
lastly side car details.
The devil is in the detail in this volume, it shows just exactly
what parts are painted and those left in original metal. This
allows the modeller to weather the motorbike and sidecar in a
far more realistic way.
It is hard to pick out one chapter above the rest but for me
it has to be the section on the rear tow hook, the detail is
hard to better , clear , close up and precise.
Once more a superb reference book for the modeller and any lucky
restorer able to find one.
Very highly recommended and it will provide hours of enjoyment.
Many thanks to Franti for passing the book to me at Beltring
